Introducing the Volt Microscope for students and researchers to continue learning and exploring science at home

Our partner organization Vilsquare (Nigeria) has developed a professional, low-cost and portable microscope to help students, teachers and researchers remain curious and excited about learning science while they are at home during the COVID-19 lockdown.

For students at home, the Volt Microscope can be used to connect classroom theory with real life applications and evidence. For example, in their biology textbooks, they read about plant cells. However, few students have actually seen a plant cell in real life. With Volt, they can easily connect that missing gap.

Thanks to Public Lab & Make: for the inspiration and support.
