Training Centre in Communication (TCC Africa) was honored to host the Zambia Academic Community in a workshop on using open access research discovery solutions to Increase their research output and visibility.
TCC Africa partnered with the National Science and Technology Council for the third national workshop introducing Open Access Research Discovery Solution, Dimensions, to the Zambia Academic Community.
TCC Africa Executive Director, Ms. Joy Owango, led a demonstration on how to access and use the citation database. Dimensions is a modern, innovative, linked research data infrastructure and tool, re-imagining discovery and access to research: grants, publications, citations, clinical trials, patents, and policy documents in one place.
The National Science and Technology Council is a statutory body through which the Government of the Republic of Zambia directs policy on the development and application of Science and Technology in the country established in 1997.
The Training Centre in Communication(TCC Africa), is the first African-based training centre to teach effective communication skills to scientists. TCC Africa is an award-winning Trust, established as a non-profit entity in 2006 and registered in Kenya. TCC Africa provides capacity support in improving researchers’ output and visibility through training in scholarly and science communication.
