About Omdurman Islamic University
Omdurman Islamic University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the suburban setting of the large metropolis of Khartoum. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Sudan, Omdurman Islamic University (OIU) is a large coeducational Sudanese higher education institution formally affiliated with the Islamic religion. While the school is primarily oriented toward Islamic studies, it serves other fields of studies as well, such as engineering, agriculture and medicine. It is among the top ten research institutes in Sudan.

The Training Centre in Communication(TCC Africa), is the first African-based training centre to teach effective communication skills to scientists. TCC Africa is an award winning Trust, established as a non-profit entity in 2006 and is registered in Kenya. TCC Africa provides capacity support in improving researchers output and visibility through training in scholarly and science communication.
