AfricArxiv was presented at the International Open Science Conference (#osc2019) in Berlin, Germany by Jo Havemann on the theme: “What role can Open Science play in enabling South-North dialogues?“
Preceding the conference was the Barcamp Open Science (#oscibar) – where we hosted a session about the importance of language diversity in Science not only in Africa, but across the world. It was concluded that we need language diversity in science as well as a common language to connect and exchange globally. A balanced use of both can be achieved by utilising digital technology.
