Greening Africa Together is united by the aim to encourage, empower, and enable African youth to fight climate change and provide perspectives in Africa together. Our approach is led by the idea of universal fraternity and Service Learning. We support active cooperation between students and local communities from different cultures and nations. In the spirit of a united world, all our projects aim to create sustainable positive change for people and nature across cultural, religious, and social borders.
The objectives are:
Empowering and supporting African universities and local NGOs to carry out integrated, sustainable projects on climate change mitigation and development with local communities
Enhancing the synergy of research, teaching, learning, and social mission in the field of SDGs and climate change mitigation/adaptation
Fighting climate change globally and addressing the SDGs through the establishment of an African-based CO2 compensation model for small-scale community-based projects and climate partnerships
Extending the centre gradually to a Global South platform for African/Latin American South-South and South-North cooperation
